Skinfood Black Egg Pore Serum Review

I really adored the packaging. It was cute, ain't no? :D

I bought this from the skinfood store because I really has big pores problem. Seriously, the pores are not nice. :/
I asked the sales woman for any recommendations,  so she recommended this Black Egg Pore Serum for me.

Truthfully, I kinda excited to try this product.

Description:

"A pore-smoothing serum with a powdery finish that contains egg extract to tighten enlarged pores while controlling excessive sebum and oiliness.Your skin will look firm and velvety smooth, like a fresh boiled egg."

My Impression:

The texture is very light and non-oily. This is not a serum for your whole face so I only apply it on the area which I have big pores (my cheeks and nose area).

The smell.. hm.. I don't know how to describe the smell. It is very light smell but not unpleasant.. but not really pleasant though. It was just okay. Not flowery nor fruity.

I don't see any changes for the first few weeks I used it. But I just continue to used it because the texture is very light and I feel comfortable to use this serum.

But after few months (3 months, I guess?) I can see the different. My pores looked less visible. And my skin feel smooth. And whenever I snapped pictures, my pores doesn't really appear eventhough I didn't use any effect.

I think this product is effective eventhough its not an instant result but still ny skin look smoother and the pores looked smaller these past few months. It is quite cheap anyway compared to another skinfood line. Hehe. I just ran out of this product recently,  and I have no time to go to the store and buy it.
My pores seems to appear back.. T______T

Conclusion:

Light texture,  non-oily
Smoother skin, minimize pore (not instant result)
Affordable, last long

Etude House I Need You, Pearl Extract Mask Sheet Review

I was planning to blogging about my Etude House haul but I don't have time to do it. But it's okay. I will do this review about this Etude House I Need You, Pearl Extract Mask Sheet.

I was only wanted to buy Wonder Pore Freshner (which of course I bought it), but Etude House Malaysia had this crazy promotion sale on September or August. (I;m sorry I don't really remember) but anyway, if I bought 3 items, i will have, 30% less for every items that I bought. wow! Super cool, right?

So, because of tiny budget, I decided to bought this mask )i bought another mask, which I will review later).

The packaging is cute, right? I like Etude House packaging!

Description:

Essence Mask contains pearl extract that promotes natural skin glow Tension fit design for improved facial adhesion and comfort.

My Impression:

I quite like the mild scent in it. And this mask fit my face quite nicely. And it feels good while I'm putting on my face and just relax.

After 20 minutes, and I throw away the sheet. My skin does look glowing and my face felt soft and moisture as well. Eventhough it was not a long term result, but still, this is quite a nice mask. And it doesn't contains paraben. phew.

Conclusion:

Glowing and moisturizing
Mild smell, no paraben

Rating: 3.5/5

Repurchase: Maybe (because i still want to try another kind of masks. hihi)

Skinfood Fermented Pomegranate Whitening Sleeping Mask Review

I read and googled a lot about Korean Skin Care Routine. And I also did search about Korean Secret Beauty. And what I have read and googled, they said sleeping mask/pack is one of the secret for healthy and glowing skin.

So, because Skinfood's shop is quite near with where I live, I went to Skin Food and grab this Fermented Pomegranate Whitening Sleeping Mask. I am so sure till now I don't know what fermented pomegranate is used for. haha.

It has another kind of sleeping mask, but being an Asian, I only like anything about whitening and brightening products (seriously).  That was why I decided to try this whitening mask out.

It came with quite a big bottle and I feel like I'm using it forever. (haha)

Description:

Sleeping mask with cosmeceutical skin lightning essence based on Fermented Pomegranate Extracts to brighten your skin during your night sleep.

Feature: Helpful for skin lightning.

My Impression:

Hm... I have this love-hate relationship with this mask.
I like the smell. For me, it has a nice smell, but I don't really know how to describe the smell. It is quite strong but at the same time it is refreshing?

It came in a pump bottle, which was so hygienic. And the texture is jelly-watery like (really?), not so light and not so heavy, but absorbs quickly in my skin.

But it doesn't really whiten my face like it claims to. And my face doesn't brighten after I used it (and I used it so many times). Even when I woke up, I didn't see any whitening or brightening effects.

But it did moisture my face, and smoothen my skin. Every morning after I woke up and touch my face, it really did feel smooth and soft.

It doesn't breaks me out. And after applying it, I do feel fresh on my face.

this is what it looked like after i blend it on my hand

Conclusion:

Nice smell, no breakouts
Moisture, skin soft and smooth
Feel fresh, no greasiness
No brightening or whitening effect
No glowing effect

Rating: 2/5

Maybelline Master Liner Review

For everyday eyeliner, I wanted something easy to use and quick to apply. Lol.
So, when I was wandering around in watson's, I decided to pick this Maybelline Master Liner in Black for me.

Description:

Maybelline Master Liner; Bolder, Smoother, unlike any other.

This is a waterproof, wind up cream liner that claims to have a creamy soft glide and intense colour, whilst being smudge-proof and waterproof.

My Impression:

I like this eyeliner, I think it's quite easy to use because it doesn't smudges when I applied it. and it stays nicely until I remove my makeup.

Conclusion:

Easy to use, waterproof
Smudge-proof, cheap
Not so creamy

My Night Skincare Routine And Products

Hi everybody,
I just wanted to share my night time skincare.
I used kit kat's free gift bag to put my night time skincare. Because its easier for me to bring it anywhere, oh because I live in house full of people, that's why I need this type of bag to organized and easier for me to wear my skincare regardless where I am.
I am kinda like a nomad in my own house. haha.

Okay,
I know its kinda a lot to use at night time. But I just couldn't help it!
Every products has their own good to your skin.

These are what I use (step by step):
After cleansed my face, (oh, I didn't put my cleanser here, because my cleanser is at my bathroom)
I used The Face Shop Herb Day 365 Cleansing Foam anyway. :)

1. Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion
2. Skinfood Salmon Brightening Eye Serum
3. Skinfood Egg Pore Serum
4. Simplysiti C Bright Snow Night Cream
5. Mekar Semilu Pearl's Cream
6. Skinfood Fermented Pomegranate Whitening Mask

Seriously, with the combination of all these, every morning my skin looks brighter, fairer and glowing.
My aunt once asked me, 'did you put any bb cream or makeup on while sleeping?'
And I was like, 'seriously?' :O because I just woke up, and of course i didn't wear makeup while sleeping. But it's great for someone to noticed that my skin is better than before. :D

Before this, my face only looks fairer, brighter and glowing if I put on bb cream and makeup.
So, I loveee the result of using all these. hihi.
I have tried to cut one of those for my night time routine (because it was a lot, and sometimes i just wanna sleep), but it doesn't give me any result like when I used all this at once.

I am lazy, but my laziness would cause my bad skin to be worse skin.
So put aside the laziness for a better skin. :)

Skinfood Tomato Whitening Serum Review

I've been looking for serum that can brighten and even my skin tone. Because I have uneven skin tone on my face and face looking so dull.
So because Skinfood is an outlet that I like and trust, I went to the skinfood outlet, and asked the salesgirl.
Actually she recommended me this Tomato Whitening Serum and Omija Whitening Serum, but unfortunately, Omija is quite expensive. And I decided to try this Tomato Serum.

Description:
This serum is packed with fresh tomato extracts which contains a variety of natural organic acids, vitamins and minerals to clear and clarify dark skin.

this two pictures was took in quite a different angle and so the lightning on the bottom picture looks quite bright. -_-'
My Impression:
It doesn't smell like tomato at all. The smell is so light and nice. I like the smell, it is a light floral scent, I think.
The texture is very light and really easy to absorb on your skin. And it is in a pump bottle which is very hygienic.
Well, I've been using this serum for 6-7 months I think. And I don't really my skin whiten.
But it did give me a natural glowing skin, I don't really think this serum brighten my face, but my face do brighten when I used this with my other face cream (for whitening also)
But after months of applying this, and wearing it before my face cream (i will do the review later), it did even my skin tone (but if only i wore it with my face cream)
My skin is so sensitive and it is easy to break outs, but this serum do not give me any break outs.

Conclusion:
Nice light scent, no breakouts
No extra oil produce, no whitening effect
Natural glow

Rating: 3/5

Repurchase: No (because i want to try another whitening serum which can show me much more effectiveness than this one)

Skinfood Gold Kiwi Clearing Toner Review

I bought this clearing toner after the sales girl recommended it to me. It is in a glass jar. I like the packaging. So unique. Actually it came with a small box of cotton pads. But I already finished using it.
The sales girl also said that I used this once or twice in a week.

And it was said that the skinfood gold kiwi line contains quercetin and vitamin c from gold kiwis; antioxidants that repair sun damage. Hydrate and repair for translucent clear skin.

Description:
Hydrating and exfoliating toner that gently removes dead skin cells and impurities for a purer, clearer complexion.

this is what it looks like.

I used this toner in 2 ways.
Okay the first way I used it, after I cleansed my face, I will apply this on cotton pad and swipe it all over my face.
The second way was, I used it as a makeup remover.

this is after I tap it on my hand.

My Impression:
I like the smells. It is a fruity scent but i don't think it smells like kiwi. huhu. But I think it is quite strong for people who don't like fragrance in skincare or cosmetic.
And everytime I applied the toner, it has a cooling and fresh sensation on my skin. My skin really feels fresh and cool.
And it really removed all the dead skin and the impurities.
And after it dries out, my skin feel soft, supple and clean.

In gold kiwi line, there are two toner, this toner you just applied it once or twice a week, or in my case i used it as my make up remover (I don't make up everyday because mostly I was at home)

Conclusion:
Nice smells, fruity scent
Fresh, cooling
Remove dead skin cell
Skin soft and clean

Rating: 2.5/5 (because of the price.)

Skin79 Super BB Cream (Hot Pink) Review

I read quite a lot of reviews for this BB Cream. And I was so tempted to buy it. So, last year I went to my drugstore and bought a 15g size of this Super BB Cream.
And I am so relieved that I only bought a 15g bottle size.

It is 3 effects functional beblesh balm. By adenosine and aburtin ingredients which are effective in whitening, wrinkle improvement cultivate more bright and elastic skin.

the color

after i blend it

My Impression:
At first it looks kinda white greyish after I blended it on my skin. But after awhile it just fits well to my skin tone.
It didn't do any high coverage. It was just a light coverage.
A very light, not really oily. But after 3 hours, my skin started to produce oil especially on my nose and cheeks.
Truthfully, I am dissapointed. Because after I wore this BB Cream, all the redness and pimples pop out. I just used this BB Cream three times because after i wore it, 2-3 hours later small bumps started to pop outs. And the next day they were all  turns to scary pimples.

Conclusion:
Fits well with my skin tone after awhile,
Light coverage
Have SPF20
It breaks me out (alotsss), produce oils after 2 hours
Nice packaging

Review: FACE it Power Perfection BB Cream (The Face Shop)

I got this free samples BB Cream after I bought some of The Face Shop's products. Actually, I had 5 samples, I already used 2, and another one I gave to my cousin to try it out.
So, I am sorry because I didn't take any picture about it's texture. But I can describe it for all of you. :)

Description:

  • Total skin treatment BB Cream (special ingredients for rejunavating skin) actively addresses all skin problems such as loss of firmness, dry skin, uneven skin texture and dull complexion
  • Better makeup results (flawless coverage + good adherence + long lasting)

  • marvelous air touch texture
  • a light-as-air texture that smoothly melts into the skin upon application making skin comfortable and able to breathe

My Impression:
It's really easy to apply on my skin. The texture is soft and easy to blend. I think it came with two shades and thank God i had the natural beige shades because I am quite tanned. :)
The natural beige color blend well with my skin tone.
It has medium coverage, but it cover quite well my redness and acne scars. The scent is so light.
I couldn't comment about the anti-winkle and whitening effect because i just used this twice.
And yeah, I wore this for 6-7 hours and still perfectly okay on my skin.

It is a good BB Cream.

I like it! I am quite regret because I bought Face it Magic Cover BB Cream over this one. Well I will do the Magic Cover BB Cream later. :)

I have to say, I always looking forward to try Korean Beauty Products.
Hee hee~~

Conclusion:
Light texture, medium coverage
Easy to blend, no breakouts, no extra oil
Long lasting, light smell

Review: SimplySiti C Bright Snow Night Cream

I was so tempted to buy this night cream last December. Because of it's name, it's nice berry smell, and eventhough this is a Malaysian's product but it was made from Korea. Every products from SimplySiti is made from Korea.
And I am someone who really loves to use and try skincare and makeup from Korea and Japan.
So I bought it, and plus, it was sales at that time. And you know, I like sales so mucho and I can bought things without realizing my money spent. -_-'

Description:
A brighter, even skin tone and luminous looking skin is revealed in 2 weeks.

  • visibly brighten, reduce dark spots and discoloration
  • intercepting melanin production and breaking up pre-formed discoloration
  • penetrate's deep within skin's surface to lock moisture throughout the night

My Impression:
I had a high expectation for this product because it was made from Korea and the description was so convincing a shopper like me, and... I was quite dissapointed.

Well, it does moisturised my face. It does smells so good and yummy. But it didn't really even my skin tone. It didn't really brighten my skin.

But, what I like about this night cream, it is not oily, I have a combination/oily skin, so my face didn't get oily when I applied this cream and sleep with it.
It doesn't greasy and sticky. The smell is so good and yummy, berries's smell, and yet its not too strong, it is just a light scent that makes you feel good and just wanna go to sleep.
But it really doesn't do any good for my skin. Huhu.

And so, because I already bought it, I just used it as my massage cream at night. And when I felt my skin was dry, I would apply this cream at night. And my skin's moisturised after using this without the oily sebum pops out.

And another good thing, it didn't break me out.

this is how it looks like.

Conclusion:
No brightening effect
A very delicate light berry's smell
Moisturised
No breakouts, no greasiness, no extra oily

Rating: 2/5

Review: Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion

This Hada Labo's lotion is my favourite toner ever. This is my second bottle so far. I started to used this lotion since last year.
One bottle can last me around 8 months. Yeah, it was quite worth it. And save my budget also. Hee hee~

Description:
At the back of the bottle it does stated 3 steps of shirojyun whitening.
1. Deep moisturising
2. Intensive repair
3. Double whitening

(shirojyun means brightening and moisture)
  • it contains arbutin to fight dark spots. smoothes and clarifies to optimize skin's radiance and translucency
  • vitamin c helps skin recover from accumulated sun damage while reducing the appearance of dark spots to give fairer, clearer skin
  • contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate intensely, keeping skin soft and supple
  • skin pH balance. low irritation.
  • free of fragrances, alcohol, mineral oil and colorant

My Impression:
This lotion really moisturised my face. Even when sometimes I was so lazy to put any serum or moisturiser and I just put this lotion alone.
My face was moisturised and didn't dry.

It keeps my skin soft, smooth and supple. And I believe the vitamin c in this lotion prevent me from the sun damaged because there were times when I went out and didn't wear any sunblock, but my skin still look kinda okay.
I think maybe because I keep using this lotion's on .

For whitening result, well, I don't see any whitening done on my face using this lotion. But maybe after I wore this lotion my skin looks a bit glowy. And yeah, it brighten my face as well. *wink-wink*

so, this is how it looks like. no color, no fragrance.
it is so nice to put on face.

I am someone who really likes to to change my skincare. But I choose to stick with this toner because truthfully I am a lazy person. Haha!
So with this toner, if I feel so lazy to put any skincare on, I will just put this and go on with my daily life (if only i'm at home lah. haha)

I only put it on my hand and tap it on my face. Oh this is one of the thing that I loveee about this toner. I don't need to use cotton pad!!!
Hee hee~

Conclusion:
Lightweight, no fragrance, no alcohol
Brighten, moisturise, glow, soft
No whitening effect

UPDATED! (6/3/2014)
